Shape bicycles continue its partnership with Can You Dig It, our distributor in the USA ! In fact, to emphasize our association and our commitment to develop Shape bicycles across Atlantic, we have realised a video of our American rider – Jared Ball ! Bruno Abiven, our Shape bicycles rider from Brittany spent a week in the mountain in the month of December 2012. Bruno practises several sports but he really likes sensation of gliding and snowboarding. His trip enabled him to refine his technique and he even tried some jumps !

We have recently announced that Shape bicycles is distributed in the USA; right now we can present to you Can you dig it BMX. This American website is as its name sounds, dedicated to trail passion, its creator Jon Saunders wanted to create a dedicated place where to find all information related to the trail scene around the world. Today, an online shop is about to open, in order to complement the current website, composed of several brands including Shape bicycles. At the beginning of 2013, we are pleased to present to you the evolution of our sprocket, on which we have worked along with our manufacturer. We wanted to improve our Shape bicycles sprocket to facilitate its production and get an even more industrialized product. The result is a new teeth design with a single machining step, giving an asymmetrical profile, plus we reduced weight, saving 10 grams on the 25T model. A first batch of prototypes was made in order to check every detail and validate our improvements. In order to make proper test, we sent all these sprockets at the four corners of the world: a 28T is running in the USA, a couple of 25T are running in UK and the last 36T is stayed in France.

Shape bicycles has experienced its first full year of existence after launching the brand in spring 2011. This year 2012 was rich for us, with development of several new products, addition of Tom Bond on the team, a new shop in the UK, a partnership to create the trophies of the Vans Kill the line event, organization of the first Shape bicycles jam at the Run trail… We hope that the upcoming New Year will be as rich as the previous, but no worry there are already many projects in the pipe ! We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year !

We are pleased to announce that Shape bicycles is about to be available in the USA ! We have shipped our first parcel to the USA, with stems, sprockets and bar ends which will delight future American customers ! Further information as soon as our distributor gets our products made in Brittany !

As you know, Shape bicycles keeps close relationships with its suppliers, so we are proud to present to you LG Tech, a company specialized in machining; based in Northern Brittany. Benoît – owner of the company, enables us to always meet our specific customers’ requests: for example re-machining teeth thickness (see photos below); but he also makes a couple of prototypes of future products.

Shape bicycles is now connected to Instagram (account: shapebicycles); social network based on photo sharing. So find all new of the Breton brand with our daily photo: products, new; trail, riders…etc.; as well as our friends and people who follow the brand.

Our English rider – Tom Bond is well known for his role in the PSA trail as well as for his good riding; but few people know that Tom is a musician! In fact, Tom is a bassist, he plays in “The ejections” punk band; they’ve just released their first CD entitled “Sick of being critics”. Their nine songs are available right now.
