After a year without any event, the annual Shape bicycles jam will be held again at the RUN trail in 2015!
This year, we imagine a simpler format, still with the presence of certain riders of the brand, but we want to get a more friendly event.
In terms of news, we are preparing some special tee shirts, they will be offered to two riders, one to award his best style, and another to award his best trick, without to mention free drinks and fruits for every rider.

Some news from Bérenger Cordier this month, this time he shares with us one of his newest tricks, the turndown flip!
As shown with the video below, filmed at the end of winter, Bérenger controls his new trick, which suggests other flip tricks to come!
At the moment, we wish him a good recovery following a recent fall, fortunately without gravity.

Tom Bond represented Shape bicycles in UK for several years, he dug and rode at the PSA trail (South of UK).
We ended our relation, unfortunately not without loss as Tom was not very honest financially, to the support we gave him.
We are disappointed to stop our relantioship with Tom as we were really happy to have someone who rides for Shape bicycles in UK; but both sides must respect the contract and it was not the case from Tom's side

Beautiful weather is gradually back in France, synonimous with return of riding. Our rider from South of France, Bérenger Codier and the Peynier BMX association did not wait for us and took advantage of the sun for a few weeks already. As we can see in this video which was edited for the association, the crew of Peynier had fun the Pills section, you can also notice several runs of Bérenger, including a superb whip !

Shape bicycles has worked in partnership with a tattooist based in Brittany for a few monthes, in order to create a new tee shirt and a new logo. Franck, created Corcarn'INK 5 years ago, his own tattoo studio in Concerneau - South of Brittany; the idea of this partnership grew up after passing under the needles.
We gave him some ideas in order to start his work of creation: a touch of Brittany spirit, a tattoo style obviously, mixed with the Shape bicycles identity. He created this visual composed of an anchor, the Shape bicycles sprocket and bar end, as well as this chain which dismantles; first tee shirts are going to be printed soon and available for the summer. In addition to this new model of tee shirt, Franck also designed a new logo with a true tattoo style font, which will be available in stickers; also for the summer!

We have created our Instagram account in 2012, the main goal was to give access to the daily life of the Shape bicycles brand. Today, more than 300 people follow our activities through photos we publish in order to illustrate the creation process of our products from drawing to machining, our team riders and friends, as well as our HQ the RUN trail.
This is why we want to thank all those people who show interest in Shape bicycles. We also invite new people to follow the news from our small handcrafted brand, only fueled by passion for creation and mechanics.

We wish to highlight one of our stronger distributor: Banos distro.
Created in 2009 by Marc Dioni, this small company is aimed to provide access to handcrafted products made by passionate people, which come from a scene that we can call an underground one (brands like: Vinyl, Totem, ECD, Life?...etc.).
Shape bicycles products have been available on the Banos distro website from late 2011. We are even prouder that Mark himself runs one of our product, a 30T sprocket; built up on his custom Solid bike "Banos signature". Find a full bike check on LifeTrail-WebZine.
Marc is also the owner and the main digger of the Banos trail, well know for its orange clay, its famous "hip de la muerte" and its new over vert berm !

For the first time, Shape bicycles was in charge of making the trophies which will reward the winners of the Soulawardz 2015. This competition is organized by the French magazine Soul BMX, it's dedicated to elect the best web video of the year in different categories: trail, street, flat...etc.
For a week, one video was elected daily by a jury and votes from internet users. In a few days, the different winners will receive a trophy made by Shape bicycles, like Jeremy Muller (trail), Luc Legrand (street), Matthias Dandois (flat)...etc. You can find the trophies presentation on the Soul BMX website, as well as an interview about the creative process.

We start this new year 2015 with the delivery of fresh Shape bicycles products, in order to keep in stock our range of parts, to be able to answer every order. In fact, we received some sprockets (25, 28 and 30T in standard or spline version), Bruno Abiven signature bar ends and Jared Ball split caps which go with our OG top load stems (also available with one piece cap). Below, a photo of some of the parts we received.

When we publish this new, we notice that a each year passes quickly! 2014 has been a busy year for Shape bicycles, from our trail trip to UK, making the Vans Kill the line trophies, creating a new logo which was adapted into tee shirt, making a spline version of our sprocket, updating our top load stem... A really busy year!
However, we were not able to organize our annual jam at the RUN trail in 2014, as a Christmas present, we announce that the event will take place again in 2015, completed with new stuffs that we are building this winter!
We also want to thank our customers for their help in 2014, as well as our riders which carry on well representing Shape bicycles.
