Spline version of the Shape bicycles sprocket

Sprocket was the first Shape bicycles product, based on a 5 branches design inspired by a famous old school wheel. After making some changes in order to improve machining, now we decide to make a spline version ! It simplifies assembly of gearing, on the other hands design is better and smoother, thanks to the location of the screw which is removed. We worked closely with our local manufacturer - LG Tech, as machinig has to ensure an accurate fit between the spline insert and the sprocket. Currently, we are testing the first prototypes to validate the final product.

Deluxe BMX makes American made products

We have worked with Deluxe BMX for several years, we designed parts and made CAD (seat clamp, bar ends, stems...); by the way we are currently working on a future Deluxe BMX product. Mark has told us about his project of American made products for a long time, obviously we supported him from the beginning, even pushing him forward to make his project real; being ourselves supporters of home made products. Mark Potoczny signature frame and bar were really a great opportunity to make parts in the USA; providing logic and legitimacy in this project 100% American ! The PA Model frame and Welcome bar are currently in production by Solid BMX, an iconic brand in the USA, which enables Deluxe BMX to realize their project. We are looking forward to these products, in order to assembled a new bike mixed with Deluxe BMX and Shape bicycles products !

Bruno Abiven enjoys MX

Our local rider Bruno Abiven enjoys motocross, he has commonly practised this sport with his 2 strokes KX 125 for several years. He is used to make everything at 100%, the least we can say is that he practises MX with as much passion as BMX and trail riding. Bruno and his friends, with their mechanical digger, created their own MX track which is about 1km long, with as much devotion as their trail! Find below a couple of photos of Bruno while his latest session at their friend’s R3C compound – enjoy !

Evolution of the Shape bicycles top load OG stem

We have drawn our top load OG stem since the creation of the brand in 2011. Over the years we have designed different evolutions, we made a split cap with Jared Ball in 2012, then machining of the front load stem (on sides of the steerer tube) that we made common to both models in 2014. This unique prototype of the top load OG stem below, is the result of every evolution we tested : a black anodized body which is machined and built up with a polished split cap.
