Bérenger Cordier went to Corsica for a long weekend, he was invited by his friend Moana Moo-caille to attend a race comp. They went to Biguglia close to Bastia, where the local club organized a promotional race. Bérenger has a long history with racing behind him, this sort of riding remains a pleasure to him and he never refuse to be behind a start gate ! At last, after several days in Corsica enjoying sun, Moana won the race and Bérenger came second !

We have already published some information about a new Shape bicycles product; based on specific manufacturing processes; like water jet cutting and chemical engraving. Now, we officially present to you this new product, which is a seat clamp. This is a part we want to produce for a long time, we managed to create a clean and simple design which is easy to cut with water jet ; while having many details made by chemical engraving, like logos and contrast between polished and etched surfaces. Currently, the first prototypes are tested by our team riders ; we let you watch these photos below; as well as reading a full technical review on BMX union website.

Our rider Bruno Abiven likes to have a well-assembled BMX, overall he likes a full black bike; this why we made for him some black anodized Shape bicycles products. Anodizing process is expensive compared to the numbers of parts we produce, this is the reason why we can t offer anodizing products to the general public. At the moment, we can only show you these photos of black Shape bicycles products.

Here are the new Shape bicycles stickers ! They use our famous sprocket as well as some pieces of chain with our link logo. For the first time, these Shape bicycles stickers are not made in France, in fact they were realised in London by Stuck Signs. This company was created by our friend Ian, who rides at Epsom trail with a beautiful Shape bicycles sprocket. It was logical for us to support the company of a close friend, a big thank you to Ian !

Our friend Pompom from Toulouse – France, one of the main member and digger of la Source trail, he offers us this nice video which is good as winter is still here. He is one of our supporter from the beginning of Shape bicycles, he runs his Deluxe bike built up with our OG top load stem and our sprocket. Before going to rider abroad, Pompom give us a video filmed at home - la Source as well as at Eyako trail.

Shape bicycles will be available soon in a new shop, which is “Factory 41” located at Brest in Brittany. This new shop has opened its door at the end of 2013, bringing a new store concept in Brittany, with clothes, shoes, coffee, an exhibition hall, a place totally dedicated to culture ! Amongst skate parts and fixie bikes, you will be able to find soon Shape bicycles products (both stems, sprocket and bar ends); we really advise you to visit this “Urban store concept” in Siam street – Brest.

To start this New Year 2014, we present to you the latest version of our classic top load OG stem. This third evolution gets much machining on both side of the steerer tube; this removal material is exactly the same as our front load TEAM stem. We also want to wish you again an happy new year 2014 ! Enjoy

The year 2013 has been busy for Shape bicycles, in term of new products, in term of events with the second jam at the RUN trail and our second trail trip in UK…

Our American rider – Jard Ball, has just built up a new frame, in fact this is a Deluxe PA model (Mark Potoczny signature). He obviously built up his BMX with some Shape bicycles’ parts, first of all the top load OG stem with his signature cap, as well as a 25T sprocket. Jared works in a company specialized in 4WD suspension, this is why you can see this massive 40” wheels Jared used to take photo of his BMX !

Shape bicycles is always trying to innovate, whether in term of products or through their manufacturing process. We are currently working on a new product, which has manufacturing processes rarely used so far; such as water jet cutting to get half finished product, then chemical engraving to integrate our logos – this is the same process which was used on the 2013 Vans Kill the line trophies. All these manufacturing steps are realized in Brittany, by local manufacturers who allow us to continue to create made in France products while staying innovative!
