We are always looking for evolutions for the Shape bicycles products, with the goal of improving them.
This is why, we are about to try two stems with titanium bolts, one top load and one front load. We chose titanium bolts in grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V, which is the most commonly used for bolts or machining parts.
Thanks to the support of the company LG Tech (located at Landivisiau - Brittany) which is specialized in machining, we were able to perfectly adapt the bolts to match the specifications of the Shape bicycles stems.
For information, we save about 20 grams, as a result a top load stem would be under 300 grams and a front load model would be about 309g grams.

We have already published some photos of Bruno riding motocross earlier this year, demonstrating his interest in this not too far discipline from BMX; but we have to admit that Bruno's level has risen lately!
After noticing lots of evolutions made on the track he built with his friends, it seems logical that Bruno's level rises as much as the jumps they create!
As shown on the photos below, Bruno has fun and takes as high air on his KX as on his S&M BMX!

Our rider in the USA, Jared Ball, with his brother Jeremy, were able to enjoy their trail this year, having several sessions in their parent s garden. In the company of their friends, they had good days at the trail, in the countryside of the Michigan state; with Elliot Van Orman in charge of filming and editing this video.
The daughter of Jared grows up and is able to come to the trail, to appreciate her father riding the jumps! A huge thank to Jared, who represent Shape bicycles in the USA!

Our Shape bicycles sprocket inspired by the famous old school wheels; is available in different versions, more recently in spline. But it can also be custom made (size, width of teeth; axle diameters or spline); obviously it takes longer to produce but price still remains exactly the same!

Our rider from the South of France, Bérenger Cordier, can rest after making the Vans Kill the line a strong success! In fact, the event was a even better than the previous editions, with many riders who came from all over the world and a massive crowd under the pins of Peynier.
Bérenger was able to rider and kill the line by his own way, he threw a massive whip (photo by Mayol). He is also very active in the BMX Peynier association, he advises the younger in their riding as well as in digging action; as shown in this photo, teaching "how to make a berm smoother" !

The famous Vans Kill the line was hold last weekend, in the shade of the pines at the Peynier trail. This year as usual, many riders were present, they came from all over the world to kill the line; which was maintained and refined by Bérenger Cordier and the crew of the Peynier BMX association.
Shape bicycles is a partner of the event for the third year, in charge of design and managing the manufacturing of the trophies. Like every year, we look forward for the the event and mainly for the awards ceremony, to know the riders who will enjoy receiving the trophies.
A new for 2014, another trophy was produced in order to designate the stylish rider by the riders themselves; this first rider who gets this trophy, is none other than Corey Bohan; who received a beautiful machined sheriff’s star !
The main trophies are composed of letters KTL, a Vans logo and the place of the rider which takes place into a sheriff star; everything positioned on an engraved Vans sole. The first two steps of the final podium are composed of less known rider, with David Godziek (Poland) and Léandro Moreira (Brasil), and third, an iconic rider in the person of Chris Doyle (USA), who took his second Shape bicycles trophy!

As most of you should know, Shape bicycles has been linked to English brand Deluxe BMX for several years, due to the work of design and development we made for them. Beyond that point, we have always supported the brand and mainly the man behind it : Mark Noble. So, we are proud to show you our new trail machine we just built, which is based on the Deluxe Mark Potoczny signature products: a 21” PA USA model frame and a 8,5” Welcome bar (both manufactured in the USA by Solid bikes) ; all assembled with the whole range of Shape bicycles parts (included a spline sprocket prototype)! We also want to relay such an important new about Deluxe BMX, specifically about Mark himself. He has joined the company CSG UK for several weeks, as a BMX category manager. It was impossible for him to juggle with both projects; this is why he looked for the right people to let his promising brand in safe hands. Those are the Desko brothers (Roth and Justin) and Kris Bennett (need no introduction at all) who have the reigns of Deluxe BMX right now. So we hope to get the opportunity to still design products with them, mainly, we want the best for the development of Deluxe BMX and the support which is given to the trail scene from the beginning of the brand!

Shape bicycles is back in France after making a trip in England to discover some trails. These five days were dedicated to chill, we spent each day at a different place amongst trail enthusiasts, with a beautiful and hot weather (except on Friday), which resulted in very good sessions and good memories too! Even after several trips to England, we managed to discover new trail each year (Brockham trail, Stony’s trail), which well illustrates how strong the trail scene is overseas. Shape bicycles will go to UK for 5 days at the end of July, at the Woodyard trail ! UK and its strong trail scene is the favourite destination for Shape bicycles for several years so far. Like last year, we will spend these days at Woodyard trail, the secret garden of Dave King, James Bentley, Andrew Thomson, Cam wild hair and others... We will be able to appreciate changes and new jumps built during last winter as well as discover other trails while our stay ! Enjoy

Sprocket was the first Shape bicycles product, based on a 5 branches design inspired by a famous old school wheel. After making some changes in order to improve machining, now we decide to make a spline version ! It simplifies assembly of gearing, on the other hands design is better and smoother, thanks to the location of the screw which is removed. We worked closely with our local manufacturer - LG Tech, as machinig has to ensure an accurate fit between the spline insert and the sprocket. Currently, we are testing the first prototypes to validate the final product.
